Task 1: Metal Artifact CBCT Teeth Segmentation
Task 1 focuses on tooth segmentation from CBCT scans affected by metal artifacts. Metallic restorations, crowns, bridges and implants often introduce streaking, shadowing and blooming artifacts that obscure tooth boundaries and make robust anatomical labeling difficult.
Participants are expected to develop segmentation pipelines that remain accurate under these artifact conditions. The task emphasizes reliable tooth localization, boundary recovery and mask generation in clinically challenging CBCT volumes where metal artifacts can degrade conventional segmentation models.
The Task 1 leaderboard will evaluate segmentation accuracy with overlap and boundary metrics, supporting downstream dental diagnosis, treatment planning and cross-modal registration workflows.
